INDONESIA: Yudhoyono on a media tour

Incumbent president to meet with members of the print and television media

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono tours offices of two local media and is scheduled to have a dialog with journalists in a TV talk show on Wednesday.

Yudhoyono began early Wednesday morning visiting the office of the country's biggest local newspaper Kompas on Jl. Palmerah Selatan, West Jakarta.

He is scheduled to meet privately with president director of Kompas Gramedia group Jacob Oetama, after which he will have an internal meeting with editorial staff of Kompas daily.

Yudhoyono will also have a brief look around Kompas' newsroom.

The President will the directly head to the office of Tempo magazine on Jl. Proklamasi, Central Jakarta, wherein he is also scheduled to meet the magazine's editorial staff.

Later in the afternoon, he will have a dialog with members of the Indonesian Press Council to be broadcast by state-owned TV station TVRI.
