TJA all stirred up
A 'Bangkok Post' reader wants the Thai Journalists Association to champion the murder investigation of the head of a local foundation

The Thai Journalists Association (TJA) has called on the national police chief to speed up the investigation into the killing of a reporter from Matichon newspaper in Suphan Buri province.
Well, good for the TJA.
How about calling on the national police chief to speed up the investigation into the killing of Phra Supoj Suvacanno, who was brutally murdered in Fang district of Chiang Mai in June 2006, for standing up to the local thugs -- including a "national politician" of that time -- who were trying to appropriate land which his foundation held in trust for the local villagers?
I know the TJA won't raise a finger. I've written many times about Phra Supoj Suvacanno. I'm sure others have, too. I'm sure the TJA is more aware of the facts in the case than I am. The TJA just doesn't care. All it cares about is the TJA -- and the PAD.
